Sydney, Australia, 2 January 2024: OpenLearning, an AI-powered SaaS platform for lifelong learning, is thrilled to announce acquisition of three leading higher education marketplaces from Prosple, a leading global internship and graduate job platform. The acquisition is contingent upon both parties satisfying all conditions within a 90-day timeframe.
Annually, the marketplaces attracted over 800,000 users and list over 15,000 courses and degrees from 70 education institutions. The three websites for the marketplaces are:
Prosple decided to divest these marketplaces in order to focus on their fast-growing internship and graduate job portal. They were looking for a partner with a strong track record in the Australian higher education sector to support their long standing customers.
OpenLearning intends to continue operating the marketplaces on a stand-alone basis and implement a strategy to increase visitor and assist education providers to attract more students. The marketplaces complement OpenLearning’s lifelong learning platform, which enables over 230 education providers to deliver short courses, micro-credentials and online degrees.
The addition of these marketplaces provides OpenLearning with a new channel to promote courses delivered by education providers, expanding the OpenLearning platform’s student acquisition capabilities for its customers, both domestically and internationally.
