About the Role:

The People & Culture Coordinator role is responsible for supporting the talent acquisition, on-boarding, and general human resources needs of the Australia-based operations of OpenLearning.

This role plays an important part in driving the growth of the company through:

·      Ensuring timely and effective recruitment of new team members;

·      Providing a seamless on-boarding experience for new team members;

·      Supporting people managers and staff; and,

·      Collaborating with internal teams to provide timely support and solutions.


They will work collaboratively as part of the broader OpenLearning Teams to deliver against the company targets, contributing to the continuous improvement processes, and extension into new products and services.

Key Accountabilities:

Talent Acquisition:

  • Assist in the recruitment and selection process of new team members including support for position description development; approvals, advertisements, assisting with candidate interviews as required and completing the reference check processes.
  • Manage the contracting process for both employees and contractors and assist with the asset management process.
  • Ensure the on-boarding experience of new team members is adhered to and employees are inducted and oriented appropriately.

Support to People Managers and Staff:

  • Provide HR advice in employment and performance management matters.
  • Provide assistance to all team members on employment related matters including leave management.
  • Manage the team member exit process.
  • Manage the EAP Assist relationship.

Other Duties:

  • Ensure all People & Culture records are accurate and comprehensive.
  • Contribute to the development and review of People & Culture policies and procedures.
  • Oversee management of WH&S and First Aid reporting.


This role is ordinarily based in our Sydney office (conveniently located near Central Station), with some flexibility to work from home.
