COVID-19:

This role is ordinarily based in our Malaysia office, but we are currently working from home. We have adapted well to working remotely and check in with each other via daily video stand-ups. We otherwise enable a flexible working schedule that values personal autonomy and your preferred work style. You will be working in collaboration with our international product and software teams, and our global operational support staff - primarily based in our Sydney and Kuala Lumpur offices.

About the Role:


As an Inside Sales Representative you will be responsible for creating new opportunities including active prospecting qualification, and evaluation, and will play an integral role in teh success of the overall sales team. This is quota-carrying sales position.

  • Identifying potential customers and generating leads through various channels, such as online research, cold calling, and inbound inquiries
  • Initiating contact with potential client to discuss products or services, address inquiries, and provide information.
  • Developing a deep understanding of the products or services being offered, including the features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
  • Understanding client needs, pain points, and goals, and tailoring the sales pitch to demonstrate how the offered products or services can address these needs effectively.
  • Establishing and nurturing relationships with leads/client to build trust and rapport, ensuring a positive client experience.
  • Utilising Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to track leads, interactions, and sales progress.
  • Monitoring and reporting on sales activities, metrics, and performance, such as conversion rate and client feedback.
  • Support the Marketing team to execute the lead generation campaigns (i.e: webinars, events, workshops)

You will work as part of the broader OpenLearning teams to deliver against the company targets, contributing to the continuous improvement processes, and extension into new products and services.

The successful candidate should have:

  • Min 2 - 5 years of inside sales experience SaaS, Education or Tech Related Industries and early-stage company experience is a plus.
  • Experience with problem-solving sales approach to understand client needs and suggest practical and effective solutions and workarounds
  • Understand the need to work as a team for everyone to be successful. Ability to self-manage and execute with limited resources.
  • Excellent written and verbal persuasive communication skills in English (Bahasa Malaysia or Bahasa Indonesia is a plus)
  • A dynamic personality, combined with a drive to think creatively to move deals forward
  • Experience in Hubspot or other CRM tools are a plus
