This award focuses on engaging, effective and learner-centred learning experiences that maximise learner engagement, knowledge retention and skills development in a course.
Criteria
- Objective of the course (e.g. needs assessment, learning objectives, skills targeted, etc.) (Maximum 3200 characters, score out of 10 points)
- Formative and summative assessment types and feedback processes used (e.g. outcomes-based, quizzes, opportunities for deep learning etc.) (Maximum 3200 characters, score out of 10 points)
- Interaction and facilitation techniques used (e.g. learning activities that provide opportunities for interaction and connection between students) (Maximum 3200 characters, score out of 10 points)
- Outcomes and impact of the course (e.g. enrolments, completions, analytics, feedback, etc.) (Maximum 3200 characters, score out of 10 points)
Best Talent Development Program
This award focuses on a course or program that was designed as a resource to drive or support talent development at a group or individual level.
Criteria
- Objective of the course (e.g. needs assessment, learning objectives, skills targeted, etc.) (Maximum 3200 characters, score out of 10 points)
- Formative and summative assessment types and feedback processes used (e.g. outcomes-based, quizzes, etc.) (Maximum 3200 characters, score out of 10 points)

This award focuses on a course that was designed and developed using OpenLearning’s AI Assistant.

This award focuses on a course that uses creative teaching methods and unique content and delivery approaches to enhance the learning experience.

How much does it cost to enter?
Good news, there is no cost involved when entering and submitting your application(s) for the Awards!
What is the deadline for submitting application(s)?
The deadline for submission is 7th November 2024, 5PM AEDT.
Who is eligible to enter the Awards?
The Awards are open to existing customers and trials of OpenLearning. If you are not currently with OpenLearning and would like to enter the Awards, please email conference@openlearning.com.
How many Awards can I enter?
You can enter one, or multiple Awards. There are 5 categories of awards. When applying, select one of the award categories listed per submission. If you would like to apply for more than one award category, repeat the submission process for each category. You can enter the awards here.
What entry language is acceptable?
Applications will only be accepted when submitted in the English language.
Does the criteria have a format?
Criteria for the Awards are listed for your guidance when you are applying via the submission form:
- Criteria 1: Objective of the course/program (e.g. needs assessment, learning objectives, skills targeted, etc.)
- Criteria 2: Formative and summative assessment types and feedback processes used (e.g. outcomes-based, quizzes, etc.)

Can I edit my application(s) after submitting?
Response can be edited after being submitted. However, we will not be able to accept any further changes after the application closing date of 7th November 2024, 5PM AEDT.
How are applications judged?
All Award applications are conducted through a point-based system, utilising a specific set of criteria to ensure fair and just grading.
When will the results be announced?
Applicants who score 30 or more will be shortlisted as finalists and will be notified via email on 18 November 2024. Category winners will be awarded live at the OpenLearning Forum on Thursday 21 November.

What are the award-winners’ entitlements?
Shortlisted finalists will receive:
- Dedicated blog article and social media mentions via OpenLearning channels;
- Backlink to portal and website promotions; and
- A Digital OpenLearning Awards Finalist Badge
Category winners will receive:
- Dedicated blog article and social media mentions via OpenLearning channels;
- Backlink to portal and website promotions;
- OpenLearning press coverage and mentions;
- A Digital OpenLearning Awards Winners Badge
- Winners engraved crystal trophy. More information will be available after the OpenLearning Forum.
Do applications remain confidential?
All information supplied via applications are strictly confidential, given the nature of the submissions, you may need to include confidential information as part of your entry. All submitted materials will be destroyed post-judging process. OpenLearning ensures and upholds confidentiality to the highest degree.

Please email conference@openlearning.com with your question. We will endeavour to answer your query as soon as possible. Please do not leave questions until the deadline as we may not be able to answer quickly due to the large volume of queries being handled.
