A quality-assured micro-credentialing framework

In recent years, there have been a growing emphasis on lifelong learning as the new norm for the way we live, work and learn in a rapidly unfolding era of change. The events of the last 3 years have reinforced the importance of continuing to invest in oneself.

The OpenCreds framework outlines how education providers can provide a market-leading lifelong learning and micro-credentialing experience that prepares learners for the future of work.

OpenCreds Classification

An OpenCred may be a stand-alone credential, designed to provide value to a learner independently of a formal qualification, or it may interact with a formal qualification.
A Pathway OpenCred

A Credit-bearing OpenCred

Successful completion earns credit for learning in a formal qualification, or component part of the body of a course that is part of a qualification.

An Industry-recognised OpenCred
