Relief Teacher Association needed to offer teachers professional learning that they could complete any time and anywhere at a price that was affordable given so many are under employed.

Two of the key challenges for relief teachers are connecting with other teachers (feeling part of the teaching community) and accessing quality professional development opportunities without having to spend hundreds of dollars each year to maintain their teaching accreditation.

Recognising this need, the Relief Teacher Association needed a solution that provided their members with access to a thriving professional learning network, on demand.

The Relief Teacher Association launched their first accredited professional development (PD) courses on OpenLearning in 2015.

In partnership with OpenLearning, Relief Teacher Association provided a solution for Relief Casual Teachers to choose from a range of interactive and inspiring courses to fulfil their passions and meet their needs, at anytime and from anywhere.
